Introduction
It was a little rainy this morning which makes conditions a touch more dangerous when biking.
The disclaimer was read and we were about to take out when Nair realized that his rear tire was a little low on air. I also have an air pump in my truck for just this occasion.
Normally we just head out and start riding< but with Nair needing air we started warming up while we waited.

Nair was finished filing his tire so we headed out.
The Thang
The Ride
We traveled west to Knoch Knolls Park and as we got to the bike we saw Radio Flyer who was on his way to the Bike Q when he ran into mechanical issues. I popped off my bike and tried to assist, but he jammed his chain up pretty well. After a couple of minutes we continued our ride and Flush our Site Q stayed behind to make sure he had a ride coming to get him. He headed north on Knoch Knolls to Ring RD. We followed Ring Rd to the DuPage River Bike Path. We again headed north on the path until we hit Bailey Rd and then began the journey East. We traveled on Bailey Rd until we hit Wehrli Rd and changed course heading South. We took Wehrli until it ended and then took a left followed by a quick right and headed down hill until we hit Whalon Lake. We circled the lake one time and on the final stretch I popped a spoke caused the rim to have a little instability. Following all of the chaos we headed back home toward The Complex and it started to rain pretty good on us for the final stretch. We arrived slightly after 6 and for that I do apologize as I feel it is important to respect the time of each of the guys that joined me this morning.

Let’s be thankful for the time we have even when things don’t go in your favor, like the Bike Q this morning. On the surface it was a disaster; we started in the rain, go got a late start due to low air in Nair’s tire, the Radio Flyer situation happened, I popped a spoke, and then we dealt with the heavy rain. At the end of the day it worked out exactly the way it was supposed to; we had an opportunity for fellowship during the ride, we exercised, and we had fun. Even though on the surface it might not have seemed like things went well, on the other hand I feel I pointed out many great things that happened during this workout.
