Introduction

I’m always checking the Q-Sheet to make sure there are no holes at the greatest AO in Oswego. The first time I looked Cousin Eddie was on the Q. I went back a few days later and nobody was. I figured it was a mistake and decided to take the lead. Fast forward to Friday, November 26, 2021 and I needed to get up a preblast and find something to do. Bad news, my M and I went downstate with the 2.0s to visit some friends and I would up spending the entire day down there and we did not get home until 11:15pm. I decided that I would pull out Gobbler’s Q that he posted a few days back for Thanksgiving. It looked like it sucked, so it seemed appropriate. Gobbler posted a link to a YouTube video describing the “Thang.” I watched it, took note of the modifications and quickly figured out where I would set it up.

I showed up to the AO about 5:40am and laid out the course with some chalk to list the exercises. In the preblast I mentioned that there would be an EC Run/Ruck for those interested. Most wanted to ruck, so I went out solo because some guys decided that the fartsack was more desirable. No worries, I need the miles so the work will get done regardless. Still love you guys!

Warm-O-Rama

We did some of the classics. Ten reps of each in perfect cadence.

The Thang

Thang 1: Gobbler’s Challenge 2021

Repeat the following 10 x:

  1. 50 meter bear crawl
  2. 10 rowers
  3. 50 meter bear crawl
  4. 20 hand release merkins
  5. 50 meter bear crawl
  6. 10 rowers
  7. 50 meter bear crawl
  8. 20 squats

Total work if finished:

  1. 2000 meters of bear crawling
  2. 200 rowers
  3. 200 hand release merkins
  4. 200 squats

Modifications for movement:

  • Replace 50 meter bear crawl with 200 meter run
  • Replace 50 meter bear crawl with 100 meter ruck

The most rounds completed: 6.5 in about 40 minutes

Not just one day or one week. I’m guilty of this myself. If you take a look around we all have a bunch to be thankful for. We take it for granted too much. Take some time to think about what you are thankful. Try to think about more than once a year.
