Introduction

IPC Week 4 Makeup Session 10/1/21 5AM Start 6AM Finish

You’ve seen it.  You’ve heard about it.  YHC Fartsacked it.  Come join me at the high school.  HC in the thread.  Bring a coupon.

The Scene:  YHC went out and bought a dry erase board as I knew we would be doing this in the football field which means no place to chalk it up.  Arrived at 4:45AM to set up.  When I arrived, I saw that sprinklers were going off about midfield.  That was new.  Wonder which direction they are going to go next and when…  I set up the cones from the 25 yard line to the goal line, posted the flags and waited for my 2 HCs to show up.  4:56AM…no one here yet.  Checked slack, no pulled HCs.  Hope they didn’t fartsack.  5AM hits and Laimbeer, then Brooks both come speeding into the parking lot.  And then the sprinklers that were on turned off and a new set turned on, right where I set up…  Ok.  Not a problem.  I moved the cones about 5 yards (still maintaining 25 yards distance).  Quick WOR it is.

The Thang

Format:  Rep-based workout

Set the timer for 52 minutes 30 seconds

Measure out 25 yards

Exercises are to be done in sets of 25 reps. After completing 25 reps, run to the cone that is 25 yards away and do 3 burpees. After the 3 burpees, run back and continue with exercise.

Exercises

200 curls

175 squats

150 Overhead Press

125 Kettlebell Swings

100 Merkins

75 Thrusters

50 Bonnie Blairs (right leg + left leg = 1 rep)

25 Blockees

If you finish all of the exercises, repeat in reverse order from the last time you just did it.

The burpees DO NOT count in your rep count.

900 reps is the total if you get through all of the exercises.

YHC and Brooks finished with 780 reps.  Laimbeer finished with 820 and then some I think.

But the real fun came about 30 minutes in when the set of sprinklers that were on turned off and a new set started, closer to us.  Rain or shine, right?  Guess we’ll get a little shower.  We didn’t miss a beat and kept pumping away at the reps.  The timing seemed to be perfect as the sprinklers oscillated past us.  But, no.  On one round, YHC took a sprinkler jet right in the nuts.  That will wake you up.  And then on another round, YHC wasn’t really paying attention and took another shot right in the face.. As Laimbeer says, “that’s what she said.” LOL.  Great morning.  Lots of fun.  Let’s do it again sometime.

I asked for Courage and God gave me danger to overcome.

I asked for Love and God gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for Favors and God gave me opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted, I received everything I needed.

So keep asking God but don’t set an expectation on the response.
