Circle of Trust

I like to share from the heart. I like to share what I’m learning and feeling as I lead my life. I like to be vulnerable in such a “tough” world. This morning I shared my beliefs as respectfully as I could. I also shared the definition of the 3rd F being faith. Faith is whatever that means to you as long as you believe in something bigger than yourself. My faith is my relationship with God and my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Every morning before I do anything else I begin my day with my daily devotional. Yesterday’s devotional was found in II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. Every week I have a moment or two shoot sometimes more than a couple where I feel the pressures of my career, my family, my commitments, F3, fatherhood, being a husband, son, brother, colleague and the list goes on. The best way I can describe that nasty feeling is ANXIETY. When I feel it, I first acknowledge it, second I rebuke those negative thoughts, and third I pray and give my worries to the Lord thanking him in good and bad. I almost instantly feel relief which then allows me to my best self and potentially bless someone else experiencing the same pressures. I know I’m not strong enough and the cool thing is it’s ok because my God is! We wrapped up with a prayer; God, I pray that you would comfort us in every difficult situation. I also pray that you would use us to comfort others. Please help us to find intentional and creative ways to do this. Amen!
