Introduction

Car Seat put up the PreBlast last night but we both knew there was a very high probability he would not be able to make it due to Hurricane Henri. Not a problem. I would be ready to go if needed.

It was a surprisingly cool morning. Still somewhat humid, but much better than the mornings last week.

5 core principles and disclaimer were recited. Time to go to work.

The Thang

Thang – Mercy of the Cards

Card suit determined exercise. Card number determined reps. Ace’s were 11. I set up my second camera pointing on the cards as they were drawn so there was full transparency.

Diamonds – Coupon Overhead Big Boys

Hearts – Side to Side Lunge Squats (L+R = 1)

Clubs – Curl to OH Press

Spade – Side to Side Alternating Merkins on the Coupon (L+R = 1)

Jacks – 10 SSH IC

Queen – 10 Monkey Humpers IC

King – 10 Coupon Swing Taters (Thanks for the idea Muggsy)

Joker – 10 Blockees

After every 5th card PAX would do a 30 yard out and back mosey to break things up a bit.

We got through 40 cards. Not bad!

Mary

American Hammer Ring of Fire. All PAX hold American Hammer position (45 degree bend with feet off the ground). I call your name, you do 8 taps (each side is 1), then next PAX goes. This was a good burn!

LBC’s IC x 15

Circle of Trust

Count-a-rama – 10!

Announcements – Thanks Chun-Li

Name-o-Rama

Prayers – Pedro’s father battling COVID, Chun-Li as he recovers from COVID, Car Seat as he deals with the effects of the Hurricane on the East Coast.

I reflected on how most of us get to choose our friends. We find people we have things in common with and share similar interests. Most of the time we have similar beliefs in life. Family on the other hand; you don’t get to choose. You can have close family members who live completely different lives than you. They could have opposite beliefs than you. Yet somehow we are supposed to all get along, get together and share meals over the Holidays or birthday celebrations. With this on my mind, I went looking for some quotes. I was drawn to two sayings.

Tolerance is giving to every other human being every right that you claim for yourself.

For all of the differences that we may all have, we all really want the same thing. That is to lead happy and successful lives and to be respected. Why is it that some feel they deserve these things but then tend to deny others these same ‘rights’ simply because of what their personal beliefs are? Interesting.

Your Beliefs don’t make you a better person. Your behavior does.

Boom. F3. Be about the action. Don’t just talk the talk, but BE about IT. Tie these two quotes together and it paints a picture or idea that I think resonates with many PAX. Let’s keep these things in mind as we go on with our day, our week, months, etc.

Naked Man Moleskin

I appreciate Car Seat giving it his best effort to try and get this Q in, but it was just not safe to do so. That being said, I had a little time last night to try and think of something for today’s Q. I like when PAX do some of these ‘luck of the draw’ type of Q’s so I figured I would give it a try. It was pretty fun and nice to let the cards do the talking. I hope the mix of exercise’s or combination of movements helped keep it fresh for everyone. Car Seat had asked PAX to mark off 30 yards so I figure I keep to that measurement. It ended up being a nice recovery run after working some of our muscles with the lifts.

Thankful for the great group of PAX this morning.

Always an honor! BC

P.S. That stretch of back-to-back-to-back Merkins was a little rough …
