Introduction

Come on down to The OP for a ruck-inspired workout.  We will keep it moving without full-out running.  it will be some full body work.  If you are looking to get some active recovery from Scrooged legs while still re-activating some of those other areas that haven’t been getting as much attention recently, all alongside some classic mummblechatter and good tunes, then this is the place to be.  If you are just looking for a good way to get that work during and/or before the holidays then this is the place to be.  If you are looking to sit in place and do nothing then this is NOT the place to be.

  • Ruck sacks preferred
  • Coupons and/or sandbags will work too
  • Any other gear you see fit for your feet and body in the current conditions

Got the chalk instructions written out and was ready to get this holiday themed ruck workout kicked off.  PAX rolled in and brought some good energy.  5:15, go time.

Warm-O-Rama

  • Mosey over to adjacent lot

Thang 1: BOMB ladder by the flags

  • Burpees x10

Lap around the island with ruck sack

  • Burpees x10
  • Overhead press x15

Lap around island with ruck sack

Thang 2: Gentlemen’s Pace Pearls on a string

Ruck together at gentlemen’s pace over through the east field path to the pavilion

  • Stop and do 10 HR merkins
  • Stop and do alt shoulder taps 15 IC

At pavilion:

  • Pull-ups from under table 10 IC
  • Ruck over chest big boy sit ups 15 IC

Gentleman’s ruck all the way back to island in the lot

Naked Man Moleskin

This was my first ruck-inspired workout that I had some time to prepare for (I had one in the past that was more backup related).  I am looking forward to designing more of these in the future to mix it up and get some tucking in with a good mix of PT.  Always a big fan of Q’ing at The OP with the PAX always ready to bring it and all that the AO has to offer.  Great to see solid numbers showing up despite winter conditions starting to take hold.
