Circle of Trust

Cited a pull quote graphic and caption I recently came across from the Daily Stoic: https://www.instagram.com/dailystoic/p/CXylkUytmq9/

“We suffer more in imagination than in reality” – Seneca

When you feel anxious or stressed, remind yourself:

Many of the things that cause us stress and anxiety, the Stoics believed, are a product of the imagination, not reality.

We spend so much time worried about how bad things are going to be. We torture ourselves more than the thing we’re worried about ever could
that is, if it happens at all. As Mark Twain quipped, quip: “I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened.”

So “what I advise you to do is,” Seneca continued, “do not be unhappy before the crisis comes
We are in the habit of exaggerating, or imagining, or anticipating, sorrow.” Don’t anticipate sorrow. Don’t let anxiety and worry get the best of you. Stay in the present. Focus on what you can control.

Naked Man Moleskin

This was a late Q pick up and I had plotted to spend the majority of time under the pavilion since the forecast called for rain. In hindsight, I should have audibled and moved around outside since the rain had mostly let up by the time we finished WOR. The pavilion work was kind of nice though. The last set of blockees during the Thang 1 EMOM was kind of rough, in the best kind of way.

I like the idea of themed days at AOs to help drive loyalty and routine. When it’s warm/light enough, I’ll bring back the Football Friday (punt/pass/kick competition) at the OP. Bean Counter did the first “Metallica Monday” several weeks ago, and I thought it was a great time to keep that theme going. I saw someone else post up a “Foo Fighters Friday” which I can also 100% get behind.
