Introduction

By Tuesday morning at 5:15 I still had no idea of what i was going to do for my Q the next day.

So I rolled into Cousin Eddie’s boot camp wondering what the hell I was going to do.

By 5:54 I was thinking what the hell just happened? That was ridiculous. Then Cousin Eddie called Mary and said he had missed the entire second half of his workout.

After during the COT I had a thought what if I just did the rest of his workout the next day… I could call it Ratiocity Part Deux!!! So I asked him to send it to me.

Late that knight I copied and pasted his Part 2 into my Winkie and tried to go to bed….

Circle of Trust

I could not sleep at all last night. I was tossing, turning and dreaming of checking for Fartsackers all night log. Finally at 4:22 I figured out why…

I was simply not satisfied with the Q that I had “prepared”. I basically just copied and pasted from Cousin Eddie. I realized that I could do better than that. I could take what was a great foundation and peel out a couple hundred reps. It would still be a beatdown but balanced. Hopefully you guys agree that what I came up with worked.

 

The moral of the story is Never Be Satisfied, maybe a better way to say it would be… “Don’t Sell Yourself Short.” Maybe you can’t do 220 Monkey Humpers. But you can do 1 more, 5 more, 10 more.

This applies to other areas of your life as well. I am coming up on 5 years in my current job. Bor the first 2-3 years I was not good at my job and didn’t really enjoy it very much. I sucked at proposal writing. It got to the point where during a review my boss pointed it out.  So I decided to do something about it. I evaluated my strengths and weaknesses, I took classes in areas where i was not strong, sought the advice of people who where better at our particular craft and in general decided that I was not going to accept crappy work from myself. Fast forward to this year. I am happy and successful in my job. I even got asked in my review what the difference was. I said having the confidence in myself that I can to better and not giving up until I got there.

 

So don’t give up on yourself, don’t sell yourself short, take pride in what you do and who you are!

Thank you for the freedom to choose the Daily Red Pill and those who help us to be better at this life

Postscript — I do not like doing countless reps over and over just to say you have done them. I understand that sometimes it is called for but in general i think it promotes bad form, potential for overuse injuries, or worse some sort of strain or tear.

 

I encourage the men of F3 Naperville to be mindful of excessive reps in your Q design. Don’t take the easy way out and just say do 1,000 merkins. Don’t sell yourself short. You can do better!
