In a time where it seems like we lose so many people on a daily basis…some seem to sting a little more than others. Unfortunately, it appears that Jason David Frank took his own life a couple of days ago. This was definitely an early ‘hero’ of mine…especially during some of my formative years. It’s been said many times before and I feel we all here in F3 will continue to scream it from the rooftops…if you need help, seek help. We’re all a strong and tight community here. Tomorrow we will partner up and we will get after it. Bring your coupons, shoes for pavement, and your will to push yourself AND your partner.

Thang 2 Modified DORA
You and your partner will do 200 Dips, in sets of 50. So typically 25 each but if needed, one partner can pick up the other. Then Run Lap Around Basketball Courts and continue accumulating reps. Worked out to 4 rounds of dips and run.
When finished with Dips, move on to Squats x 400 300. Sets of 100, so 50 each, give or take. Lap around basketball courts in between. Worked out to 3 rounds of squats and run.

I spoke about the power of supporting each other, having each other’s six, and seeking help when you need it but also reaching out to someone who may look like they could use a friend. The death of Jason David Frank (Green/White Power Ranger) just really made me think about all of this again. It sucks to know that there are individuals out there struggling to the point where they feel taking their own life is the only way out.
“Isn’t the smallest chance of victory enough of a reason for us to keep on fighting?” – Jason the Red Ranger said this and it can be interpreted and applied in many ways. Whether it be the rangers fighting against all odds to defeat a super villain or whether it by someone fighting the demons in their personal life and struggling with mental health. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it is the smallest of lights … the fact that it is there and that it is possible for you (us) to get out of this rut should be enough of a reason to keep on fighting.
The workout was based around sticking with your partner. Sharing reps. Pushing each other. Sometimes having to run faster…or slower to keep pace with your partner. Doing 45 Overhead press in sets of 15 was much more manageable than doing 90 straight Overhead Press alone. By sharing the work…sharing the weight (of the world) with someone, the burden can be lightened to a point where getting through your rut or your day is that much more possible. Lean on each other. Seek help. Reach out to those who need it.
