Introduction
As promised, 60 minutes of effort would be packed into a 45 minute window. Oscar Mike (On The Move) the whole time. Mission was to be on the move the entire time, leave no man behind and leave no man where he is found.
Warm-O-Rama
Broke into 4 squads. The squads took an Short Mosey with coupons to Hamburger Hill. Team work and accountability was the emphasis of the morning mission.
The Thang
Thang 1 was comprised of a 10 minute circuit.
1 squad member from each squad would run to the top and back down. The remaining squad members did 20 reps of the following, with coupons:
Squats
Derkins
Upright Rows
Shoulder Presses
At the conclusion of the 10 minutes, the 4 squads took a Mosey with Coupons to the Octagon, where a 3 minute circuit of box jump burpees was ordered.
After finishing this task, the squads took a mosey to the football field goal post. The objective was for each squad to cumulatively complete 150 pullps. Turns of one at a time, per squad began squad members waiting their turns held plank in “Superman”, extended arm planks and alternated with lower back Superman.
Once all squads completed the task (Squad #4 won), they fell into formation and in their own squads, completed a double time Indian Run with their coupons back to base.
All squads returned with 4 minutes to spare so we improvised with:
Merkins in cadence (15)
Squats in cadence (15)
Lower Back Superman in cadence (15)
Mountain Climbers in cadence (20)
Right at 06:00 mission was completed.
Circle of Trust
Prayer requests made. None received
Took a knee and thanked all the men who attended. Emphasized the fact that in our lives we sometimes have little control of external forces; how ever, each man has full control when they decide to wake up, get dressed and toe the line with their fellow PAX in the gloom. WE learned that we can control being there and how hard we would get after it. Thanked the Lord and any other higher power for allowing us another day together in the Gloom. We each walk away being a little better from being together.
Naked Man Moleskin
Baby Hands wore the Frontline OCR body armor. Kudos to him because that is a badass vest.
