The Thang

Thang 1

We did Elevenths by the small hill next to the main parking lot.

All PAX started with 10 overhead presses, ran on the top of the hill, and did 1 Squat. We did it all together, so we didn’t have to wait for the six.

Thang 2

We left the coupons on the grass; PAX took their jump ropes and moseyed towards the Centennial Beach entrance. On the way to it, we stopped at the bridge for a crab walk, waited for the six by doing side straddle hops. After it, we moseyed to Centennial Beach entrance location.

Partnered up, 1st partner started with a jump rope and 2nd did slow, in cadence as follows:

2×10 Dips on the black skateboard racks.

3×10 Elevated Merkins on the black skateboard racks.

3×10 Derkins by the elevated sidewalk section

Thang 3

All PAX moseyed to the Naperville Park District Parking lot on Jackson ave. We did Burpees at each parking lane. Approx 12 burpees.

We moseyed back to the main parking lot. On the way back, as soon we crossed the Eagle St bridge, PAX stopped to do 20 Big Boys IC

Thang 4

At the main parking lot, all PAX did Partner Dora. While one HIM ran around the circle and back, another did as follows:

100 Bend Over Rows

150 Shrugs with two coupons

200 Curls

6 MoM

25 American Hammers IC

High Plank, Low Plank, Righ/Left Arm up.

10 Sphinx Merkins IC

20 LBCs IC

Stretch

Ring of fire (7 counts):  merkins, shoulder taps, diamond merkins, mountain climbers, and finished with stargazers.

Quality over quantity is an endless discussion topic not only in fitness but also in everyday life. We often look at our mobile devices during family time instead of communicating together. In my family, to have quality time, we got some basic rules. We don’t look at our phones during dinner time. Our discussions during quick dinners are always more valuable than being together in a room but our virtual private worlds. Would you please spend more quality time with your family and put more value into the relationship? Same at fitness level, please be more careful with fast-paced exercises since it is easy to make a costly mistake.

I was thinking about going back in the gloom and leading a workout. However, I didn’t expect the opportunity to come so quickly. I planed my workout based on the weather forecast that promised nice weather. Unfortunately, the weather was not the way I expected. As soon I stepped outside on Saturday morning, I saw the rain coming down and had to change my plans. Since it didn’t rain too much, I decided not to use the garage option. Thanks to Augustus Gloop for calling out PAX because we didn’t have many HCs by Friday evening. I’m glad I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and led a workout. Since I got used to attending only, I did not fulfill the contribution I was supposed to make to F3 growth.
