Introduction

4:59 – pull up to Iron Lion to check the conditions— @BootLegger was flying down Maple to get himself psyched up and I pulled in right after him.

Cousin Eddie- timely as usual for Site Q duties, then pulls in going faster than @BootLegger. (Thanks for having the 6, Cousin Eddie)

Check conditions for ice as I had planned to be in the parking lot– found a 30 yard spot that would work just fine (or so I thought until Urban Cowboy proved me wrong)

PAX stroll in, heavy weekend mumble chatter commences

Try to start the music and my phone dies from the cold——- not ideal— left the house it was at 100% battery

Warm-O-Rama

The Thang

The first thang was working on initial burst and quickness

PAX got in two lines and we did some slower movements transitioning to a quick burst for about 10 yards (high jumps, side shuffle, etc.)

All was going well until Urban Cowboy hit an icy spot- he was OK- said the fall was smooth—-

we then went into Go Fish with the F3 playing cards— compliments of Aladdin–

Sorry to Callahan and Cousin Eddie as we did this Thang last week with Aladdin– I must say I really enjoyed it as it gets everyone involved and I thought the PAX would enjoy—overall sentiment was positive when it was completed–

Shoutout to Mellencamp for secretly changing his exercise without a stutter– I know what you did there 😉

Circle of Trust

This weekend I was driving with my  son and we pulled up to stoplight at the intersection at 53 and Maple— their was a homeless man sitting on the snow and a young boy gets out a car and gives the man some food. It was one of those teachable moments in life and it got me thinking about the kindness and generosity we all show through our F3 mission. I explained to my son as he was a bit confused why someone got out of their car at a stoplight like that.  Don’t miss those opportunities to teach a lesson – or better yet I thought to myself maybe next time we get out and give something to the man.

Naked Man Moleskin

Mellencamp informed us that those in the St. Joan of Arc lost a parish and school member this weekend- although I did not know the man (and do not recall his name) he was a dad with 4 girls- died at 43- not exactly sure of the cause of death- life is precious. enjoy the moments. We said a prayer for that family.
