Introduction

It was a cold, cold, cold morning with single digit temps (9 degrees with a real feel of -6 degrees) at Black Panther but this didn’t stop 15 HIM’s from posting!

Warm-O-Rama

Warm-O-Rama:

After the warm up, we counted off and had 15 PAX.

Counted off again by 5’s to form our 3 man teams.

Grabbed our coupons and headed towards the field for The Thang .

The Thang

3 sets of cones were placed out in the field for our relay race.  blue cones at the start, yellow cones in the middle and orange cones at the end.

Teams of PAX were given the instructions on how this was going to work:

PAX 1 and 3 were starting at the blue cones, PAX 2 was to start at the far orange cone.  Pax 1 would start the race and work their way to the far orange cone, PAX 2 would then work back towards the blue cone, PAX 3 would then work towards the orange cone and so on until all teammates worked through the relay 3 times.

PAX 1 started with bear crawls to the yellow cone, do 3 burpees and then crab walk to the orange cone.  Once there, PAX 2 would then bear crawl to the yellow cone, do 3 burpees and then crab walk to the blue cone. PAX 3 Stayed at the blue cone doing curls with the coupon until his turn to bear crawl to the yellow cone, do 3 burpees and then crab walk to the orange cone.  Rinse and repeat all of the above except the second time at the blue cones, PAX would do chest presses with the coupon.  The third time at the blue cone PAX would do Overhead Presses with the coupon.  Once ALL PAX on the team completed ALL 3 coupon exercises the race was over.  Congrats to the team of Half Price, Title IX, and Fargo for being the winners of the first relay race!!  Their “prize” was to pick between the #2 card or the #3 card to determine the next grouping of exercises for the second race.  Good job men!

We started the second wave of races with the same teams but with the following exercises:

Blue cone – Dips on coupon, Squats, Lunges

Yellow cone – 3 Burpees

Orange cone – Plank Jacks

Modes of transportation consisted of John Cusak-ing your coupon to the yellow cone, Murder Bunny-ing your coupon to the orange cone and the same for the way back to the blue cone.

We got through almost 2 “laps” of the second race before time expired and we moved back to the flag for Mary.

Congrats go out to Rx for completing his first 6 pack this week!  He has become a consistent example for other PAX to follow on a positive side!

I am very humbled by the positive comments after this workout was over from the PAX in attendance!  I try each and every time to not only challenge myself but to challenge everyone in attendance no matter what their physical capabiliteis are.

My appreciation goes out to all PAX that showed up today on such a cold weather day with the wind chill temps being below 0!  Thank you!
