IMPACT:
We have an acronym in F3 – High Impact Man. A Disrupter who is Committed to making forcible contact to strong effect.
I decided to quickly google people in history who have made an impact. Here are just a few:
Jesus, Abe Lincoln, Mikahail Gorbachev, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr, …. Karl Marx, Napolean, Stalin, … Hitler.
Impact can come in many forms. Intended, or unintended change. We can have good impact, or bad (hence the reference to those who had negative impact on history). I think of the Widow, in Luke 21, who gave just 2 “mites, or just a few cents”, but it was all she had for the offering. Despite others giving more, Jesus called her out as giving MORE.
So when we think of pushing ourselves to have IMPACT, remember, it’s not the size of what we give, or try to do, that matters. It’s that we give what we have. And when we do that, we’ll have REAL impact.
