Circle of Trust

There is recent talk about what the following words mean so I would like to share something that I came across and while there may be some differences of opinion about them I encourage you to at least be familiar with them or if you want to develop stronger opinions about them to investigate further but at least acknowledge them since we do not know what kind of experiences people have had.

Shoe metaphor

Equality is everyone )getting a pair of shoes.

Diversity is everyone getting a different type of shoe.

Equity is everyone getting a pair of shoes that fits.

Accessibility is being able to access your shoe in your preferred way.

Acceptance is

understanding we all wear different kinds of shoes.

Belonging is wearing the shoes you want without fear of judgment.
