Disclaimer
Warm-o-Rama:
- Good mornings – 20
- Imperial Walkers – 20
- Motivators X 8 (just as we did at Saturday’s convergence in remembrance of Noonan) – during this, played the song “Rock around the Clock” by Bill Haley and the Comets. This was a song on Noonan’s playlist during a Q he did at OP
- Quad stretch
The Thang
Indian Run from our lot to just in front of the other lot’s playground by Book Rd. Although a lot of snow and ice thawed the day before, the below freezing temperature made the melted water turn into ice. This made the trail icy and thus we ran on the grass rather than the trail
Mosey over to the small hill by the playground.
Partner Dora: partner 2 runs to top of the hill and back and relieves partner 1.
Other partner does:
- 100 merkins
- 200 squats
- 300 SSHs
I then took us on a circuitous route to the little amphitheater by the playground. I thought there was a cut through where there wasn’t. So, we ended up running through the grass (which was icy and wet) to Book Road, up a small stretch of Book Road, then back through the parking lot, and found where we were looking for. At the amphitheater we did:
- 100 Rocky Balboas
- 30 Derkins
We then moseyed back to original lot on the grass next to the trail
Back at the lot we did:
- Bear crawl from one set of islands to another
- Crab walk from nearly one set of islands to another
- 20 burpees
Mary – played the song “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher” by Jackie Wilson – a song that Noonan talked about and played at his last Q
American Hammers
Heel touches
LBCs
Pendulum swings
Circle of Trust
I talked about remembering Noonan. This can’t be real – I half expect to see Noonan at coffee one day or at a post. It’s hard to comprehend his loss. Why did this happen? There is no good reason. Only God knows His reason and His plan. All we can do is trust in the Lord and put our faith in Him that earthly things happen that are imperfect, but that we can find comfort in His embrace as Noonan is surely in God’s loving embrace now. There are so many things to say, but it’s hard to put it all into words what we are feeling at the loss of our brother.
Prayers for Bump’s family. Prayers for Noonan’s family. Prayers for any unspoken requests in our hearts. We pray this in God’s name, Amen
