Introduction

Pre Blast:  DARK TOWER 5/25/23 5:15am

May 25th, 1977 was the day of the premiere of Star Wars. Travel with me to a galaxy far, far away. Bring a coupon. HC in the thread. 

The Scene:  High 40’s  YHC arrived early, one or two Black Diamond guys were already there.  I ran around the field to set up the pucks and cones.  Ran to the top of the hill to see how it looked and then waited for the pax to show up.

The Thang

THANG 1 On Program

From the show, Andor, pax place their hands on their heads for all movements.  Anyone caught without hands on head will do 5 burpees.  Cable Guy tested this theory but I didn’t ask him to do burpees.

Form one line – Rebel Run around the AO until all have made it from back to front.

Stop – No Surrenders – IC (4 count) x 20

On Program Lunge Walk to center of field, then circle up.  Stay ON PROGRAM!

Kino Loys – renamed Hillbilly squats – IC (6 count) x 20

THANG 2 Death Star

Death Star – set up 8 cones in the shape of the Death Star, so a circle-ish shape.  One at the center.  Start at the center with 5 burpees.  Run with arms outstretched like an X-Wing to a point of the circle/wheel and do 30 squats.  Run back to the center and do 5 burpees and so on until you complete the circuit.  Next round is 20 merkins.  Final round is 10 plank jacks.  Hold plank for the 6

YHC and Stay Puft ended up finishing the second circuit only after modifying the burpees to 3, modify the squats to 20 and the merkins to 10.

THANG 3 The High Ground

Partner up – partner one runs to the top of the hill, does 10 X-Wings and runs back down to their partner that is crawling like Anakin on the coast of the lava lake.

This took us up to 6am so we did not do Mary but if you were really crawling like Anakin (zombie crawl like you have no legs) then you were really using your core.

Brown Trout was running around the AO up and down the hill and didn’t participate in this workout but I told him to join the COT and NOR since he was obviously working it.
