Circle of Trust

I shared with the PAX two things:

  1. What can come from Shield Lock and CSAUPS
  2. and something about Positive Self Talk

Last week our Scrooged Team – The Miracle Close to 95th Street – completed The Nutcracker…and 18 mile Ragnar like experience that starts and stops on a weighted hill with AMRAP PT built in along the route.

First, Uncle Rico shared with our team on one “Nut” (4.5 mile portion of the run) something about the show “Limitless” on Disney+/National Geographic. The show is about actor, Chris Hemsworth’s journey for longevity and maximizing our full potential as humans. I ended up watching the show later that weekend and one episode was about handling stress. In short, Chris was put into stressful situations (underwater with hands/ankles tied, swimming summer salts with next to no breath, etc) and he fail several tests in the water, actually all of them. Then, a psychologist who was working with him, told him to “give yourself POSITIVE SELF TALK during the experience next time. Tell yourself you can pass these tests no matter what the whole time, etc.” So he gave it a 2nd chance and what do ya know…he past them. There’s something biologically scientific that takes place in our bodies and mind when we BELIEVE something and encourage ourselves with POSITIVE SELF TALK. We relax, stress goes down, confidence and performance rise. So work on it.

Second, I might have never watched that show if we didn’t have the quality time set up within The Nutcracker/Scrooged CSAUP…built around Shield Lock. This allowed Uncle Rico to share a positive experience he had, I then experienced it, now I’m sharing this positive experience with you…you see it? These are things that can come from not just CSAUP’s but Shield Locks within small workout groups for men. So not only can POSITIVE SELF TALK help you out…so can POSITIVE PEOPLE. Surround yourself with them and POSITIVE THINGS will happen.

I forgot to share this in the CoT but I guess you can say that’s what Kevin McCallister did when he went to church in Home Alone and actually had a conversation with The South Bend Shovel Slayer and found out…in a Shield Lock-like convo…he wasn’t much of a slayer…he was a redeemer.

How do you find out?

You keep it positive.

Prayers.
