I got a text around 4:55am from TPS telling me that something had come up at home and if I would be willing to cover his Q. Without hesitation I said yes… this group has done a lot for me and I appreciate any opportunity to give back. TPS sent me his planned workout. I gave it a couple of look throughs and started to head outside to my driveway.
After the mild heatwave during the day yesterday (up to 19 degrees!) it was once again freezing cold this morning. -2 up here in Naperville… -13 down in Tri-County. Doesn’t matter…the PAX were ready to work!

At this point I remembered that we had some penalty merkins to bust out. Blueprints had the idea yesterday so with a couple of yesterday’s fartsackers in attendance, we knocked out 20 penalty merkins before going into Thang 3.

I told the PAX a quick story about how one of the best nights of sleep that I had ever gotten was on February 19th, 2020. Why? This was the night after my first Q. The night before (Feb 18th) was some of the worst sleep I had ever gotten. I slept in 45 minute increments…I was nervous about sleeping it…would my Q be good enough? How would everyone respond? Every time that I opened my eyes to look at the clock I was hoping it was 4:40 and time to wake up. I ended getting great feedback from the Q and have enjoyed leading workouts ever since. A quick look back to my first post (Bob Ross was on Q for his 400th post) I remember coming home after the post and my M asked me how it went. I told her it was a good workout and looked like a cool group to be a part of. I did laugh though and tell her “Crazy thing though…I think the premise of the group is that these guys thing I will actually lead a workout one day! Isn’t that wild?”. As well all know… this thing, F3, it sucks you in. It pushes you. It helps you grow into a leadership role. And yes, that includes leading workouts! I thanked the guys for coming out and hope I did TPS Reports workout justice. It was a pleasure to be able to run such a tough workout.

Coming up on my 1 year VQ-Anniversary, as Blueprints calls it, I was hoping to possibly get on the Q sheet for Feb 19th. By the time I got around to putting my name down, it was already taken. The spot had been claimed by Sir Mix-A-Lot, who will also be doing his VQ! How appropriate. I look forward to being a part of his VQ and supporting in the way that we all support each other during these posts. By the way, last night I slept great. Got a full 6 hours! When I got TPS text around 4:55 this morning, that is when things kind of went into a bit of a blur. I am thankful he decided to just send me his workout. Sure, I could have come up with something on the fly or even used my ‘back-up’ Q, but why not torture the PAX with someone else’s punishment? This way they know exactly where to direct their complaints!
