PreBlast Two Wolves 0515 for a :fire::the_horns: Trivium Thursday:the_horns::fire:
Come hang out with some WolfPaX as we jam to some solid metal tunes while moving around the AO and get some full body exercises in. Bring your coupons, shoes for all surfaces, and make sure your neck is warm for all the headbanging! SYITG! :the_horns:

I got to the AO right at 0500…no one else was there! Winter is here…. ha!

PAX did eventually filter in and it looked like it was going to be a SOLID group. Circled up and gave the Five Core Principles, Disclaimer, Mission Statement, and Credo. Music is on. Let’s get warm!

The Thang

Thang 1 – “Into the Mouth of Hell we March” (Album: Shogun)

From the top of the hill we moved with our coupons to the South side of the soccer fields. We started with:

Reverse Bear Crawl down the hill while dragging down our coupons. Hold Squat at base of the hill for the 6.

Cusack Carry about 50 yards and stop for 10 Blockees, done in cadence as a group. Coupon Mosey another 50 yards or so and stop for 10 RDL’s on my down. Finish coupon mosey to south end of soccer fields and do 10 woodchoppers each side on my down.

Line up along the south border of the soccer fields for Thang 2.

Thang 2 – “Beyond Oblivion” (Album: The Sin and the Sentence)

PAX would move all the way across the soccer fields till they arrived at the north side / path.

The movement patter was as follows:

2 Murder Bunnies

3 Irkins

4 SSH

Continue with increasing reps (3 Murder Bunnies, 4 Irkins, 5 SSH) until we cross the field.

Pick up the six!!

Coupon mosey to the tennis courts.

Thang 3 – “Like a Sword Over Damocles” (Album: In the Court of the Dragon)

Four Corners – Kept on the move…All done together, All on my count.

CoT

Strife – Defined as ‘angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues; conflict.

Lyric from the song Strife by Trivium:

“I’ve found that strife won’t make the bleeding stop

Nor will it take away the pain

I feel like this search is all in vain

And I struggle to find my way”

We all have dealt with strife in one way or another in our lives and very likely over the last couple of years. There is always disagreement. It seems natural that when you have disagreement you want to react with anger. “F you and what you think”. But is this really the best way? As the lyric in the song goes…reacting with anger won’t actually help solve the problem. So what do we do? How do we find common ground? Clearly we can do it … its been done before and it is how the world as we know it keeps spinning. I asked the PAX to think about how they naturally want to react to situations where they may have a big disagreement with someone about something. Then think about how maybe you could have reacted. Would it have made things better? Smoother? Burned less bridges? Think about it next time you are confronted with a situation like this.

Naked Man Moleskin

Great morning and a great group of PAX that joined me. Chaps said he wanted to warm up quick this morning. We had a few late arrivals so we couldn’t get on the move right away but I’d like to think that I kept us moving once we started a few exercises in.

I appreciate the PAX going along with this Trivium themed beatdown. Definitely a top three band for me. One of my favorite things (aside from the killer guitar riffs) is how detailed and meaningful some of the lyrics are. Like I told the guys this morning … its not all just screaming and growling over demons and dragons and death. Just sometimes… 😉

Always my honor – BC
