Introduction

Join YHC at the Complex for our usual Saturday fun and games.  Bring a sled and a coupon, just in case we decide to work a little.  Maybe I’m kidding, maybe I’m not…haven’t decided yet.  HC in the thread and SYITG.

The Thang

Thang 1:  Starting at the south end of the parking lot, each PAX completes 20 reps of both Overhead Press and RDL’s, then runs to the first light post to complete 10 Merkins before running back to their coupon at the south end.  Complete another 20 reps of both OP and RDL’s and then run to the second light post to compete 10 Merkins and run back.  Repeat until you’ve run to all 5 light posts.

Thang 2:  Run to the hill with sled.  Complete 11’s with Merkins at the bottom of the hill and Plank Jack’s at the top.  Sled down the hill and run back up until 11’s are complete.

Thang 3:  With about 5 minutes left, we split into 2 teams.  Each team spent about 2 minutes building a sled ramp on the hill and we spent the last 3 minutes trying to see which team could get the best jump off their ramp.

Circle of Trust

I didn’t have an opportunity to attend Q-source this week, but I was able to read the chapter on Preparedness last night and I would highly encourage everyone take the time to read it if you have time this weekend.  It talks about getting right, living right and leading right.  As I look around this circle, I’m surrounded by leaders.  We have all Q’d before and all rotate leading.  We are all on equal grounds in this organization and there is no CEO.  That is what makes this group so special.

When I started with F3, I struggled to do the workouts and couldn’t handle more than 3 posts/week.  I started at the same time as our good friend, Bunyan, and he was coming 5 days/week…which seemed nuts to me at the time.  After several months, I decided to give 5 days/week a try and after several weeks, it became my routine.  That consistency helped me get right and now I don’t feel right if I miss our morning workout.

As we all get right, we start living right and the ‘leading right’ becomes natural.  There are many ways to lead and I appreciate watching all of our different styles and seeing you all grow.

Prayers for Columbus’ mother-in-law(Mary) and father.  End in the Lord’s Prayer.  Let’s get some coffee.

Naked Man Moleskin

Nice cool morning with about 3 degree temperature before the wind chill, maybe -4 with the wind chill.  We moved enough to get a good sweat going and stay warm but also had some fun with the sleds.

It was a long week for several PAX, several who had posted every day.  So, it was nice to have a little fun while moving.
