Introduction

The Colosseum is one of the newest AO’s added to my repertoire of favorites to prepare and execute a BC BEAT DOWN!  Kuddo’s to the men of F3 Crossroads for scouting this location and solidifying it’s existence.  The morning was a cool 59 degrees with zero wind.  Precipitation was zero as well, but Condensation is another story…..  Note to self (Don’t use Wet Erase Markers on White Board Stands)  By the time I finished laying out the 12 pain station’s for this morning’s workout the first one was already bleeding to an semi-unreadable level….  Who knew – I certainly did not…  Off I went to the car in a frantic search for a note pad and sharpie – Phew close call now a little effort running the 12 station coarse duplicating each exercise on paper to reduce the obvious confusion.  Back at the Flag with 4 minutes to spare…  Needless to say, The Q was warmed up and ready to rock!

The Thang

First a little back story leading up to today’s BC.  In my pre-blast I encouraged the potential HC’s to keep an eye on the HC’s coming in and be sure to align themselves mentally with a partner that will encourage and make them stronger to finish what I have in store.  (they had no clue what was in store)

Now for the Thang….

Today’s pain train was a 12-station course over .6 miles long one direction from P1 to P12.  This course had a common starting point with two directions to choose from.  Red or Blue (choice did not matter very much as each course had the same exercises) both had 12 stations and were the same length.  Imagine an oval course with 12 different posts evenly spaced around the entirety.

The gentlemen chose their partners and we ended up with 6 teams of 2 and 1 team of 3.  All to do next was choose the team that would go first.  This was easily accomplished by drawing cards A-7.  Once complete each team lined up at the P1 (post 1).  It was at this point I flipped the script 😊.  I informed these eager men who thought that they paired themselves to work “with” each other that “nope FAKE NEWs Friends” you are competing against each other.  “It’s always a Race” our late Friend Noonan would say! Why should today be any different.  So I parted the teams into two single file lines and instructed that one will take the RED course and the other will take the BLUE course!  Pure Evil 😊 was some of the looks I received…  I then said it’s a race so beat the other guy back you partnered with for bragging rights!  I should up put a Burpee wager for the loser to pay but didn’t think of it till now Dang-it!  Below is the exercise at each station.  Again only listing the RED course as the blue course had the same exact format.

Naked Man Moleskin

Overall I was quite impressed with the outcome of the WO.  14 MEN Strong!!!  A little frantic at first setting up and learning wet erase markers don’t jive with condensation but we got thru it.  Special thanks to all the men that joined me.  All of them hit this course pretty hard  #Strongertogether  #REDline
