Circle of Trust
There is a Youtube motivational video I watch fairly regularly that opens with the statement “Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure”. I take this statement as key reason why at times we do not apply ourselves or stretch our own boundaries. Success does not bring less responsibility and actually leads to more challenges for us to face. It is the fear of leaving our comfort zone that sometimes keeps us embracing the challenge. We need to take on these challenges as it allows us to grow and those around us to grow along with us. Complacency and average are not areas we can afford to be comfortable in
In the same video at the end it speaks about that true growth comes from the transcendent rep that only exist when the spirit, mind and body are aligned. When the body no longer believes it has one more rep in it the spirit and mind have already decided that there is one left … it is after this repetition that true growth comes from. The conversation starts by talking about “lifting dumbbells” but we can apply this concept to anything in life. Working through difficult times at home, at work, in our communities. When our minds, spirits and bodies are aligned we transform ourselves and those around us.
