I had to cancel my 12/23 RC Q so when I saw this RC open it was a no brainer.

The Thang
My first out and back RC inspired by Patchouli.
Run North along the West Branch Du Page River. Turn back around at 5:37. We modified and turned around at the Rt 34 bridge. Conditions past the bridge were unsafe so our guys leading the way made a smart call. The trail wasn’t too bad yet still slippery. Run until 0555. I choose laps around the loop at the parking lot, others ran through downtown, and some made it back to the flags. Mileage varied by PAX. I stopped once I clocked 4 miles.

Today’s CoT was focused on “HC’s don’t determine our identity”
What do I mean by that? I mean we show up wether 3 PAX HC or 33 PAX HC. When we Q it’s not about us, shoot it’s never about an individual PAX if you ask me. It’s about SHOWING UP regardless of the numbers. Showing up for with your brothers who beat the fartsack and CHOOSE to pay their dues. Success is like rent and rent is due DAILY! As a Q it’s our responsibility to give it ALL WE GOT! Why did MJ play as if each game was his last? Because he knew there was a kid in the stands seeing him live for the first time. Kudos to each HIM for coming out ITG for HIM! It’s always an honor and a privilege when given the opportunity to practice our leadership aka Q.

We prayed for Poutine, his M and his 9 year old 2.0 as they face opportunities to grow. I have an 11 year old daughter as well so I feel your pain brother. You got this and we’re cheering and will continue to pray.

Naked Man Moleskin
Some of us are hitting 75 hard and boy oh boy soreness is no joke. I wanted to show up prepared therefore I invested about 20-25 minutes last night stretching. I went to bed early and busted out the theragun some more. The opportunity clock went off at 0410 and I hit snooze till about 0430. I didn’t want to get up. More sleep, yes please unfortunately that wasn’t an option so suck it up buttercup. Pulled up to DT around 0457 to see Gloop, Glenn, and Poutine’s car in the lot. These HIM’s EC’d at about a 7:45 pace, good stuff Men! I planted my flag, chatted with God for a few minutes and snapped a quick story on IG. PAX began rolling in and the rush/excitement began flowing. I had an opportunity to thank Muggsy for checking me a few weeks ago on my squat form. I told him I feel my form has definitely improved thanks to him. Of course he, Glenn, NoseJob, and Serena led the pack today. It was awesome seeing some Iron Lion boyz in the house. Everyone stayed safe and no one fell so blessed we were. We found out Starbucks on Main in closed until the 11th I believe thanks to Sparky for that info. I didn’t forget to get a head count before taking off yet still a lot of opportunity to improve HTC. Mr Nice guy was in attendance and he made my morning always sharing some encouraging words before leaving. You filled my bucket men and I hope you had fun today. As always thank you!
