Introduction

AOVQ at The Complex for Ruck Club! I walked the grounds yesterday after my Holy Hill Q for inspiration. After so many great ruck Qs lately, I wanted to dig deep for a real burner, especially for legs. It felt . . . unnatural  . . . planning a Q that didnt involve coupons for a change.

Speaking of changing things up . .  . what would be a way to change up one of my Qs? Especially a ruck Q?

A fast mosey/run!

Digging deep into lexicon for some new exercises, and sprinkled them in.

The goal was a burner to cap off the week . . . and hopefully it delivered.

Circle of Trust

Todays theme was grit. We all have a mental “wall” that we hit when exercising. Its when we transition from a run to a walk, slow down on an AMRAP, and use sloppy form on exercises. That’s when we need to dig deep and find that extra well of energy and determination that we all have within us. I was dying last week at OCR when I got hurt, and wanted to quit. But there was no way that I was going to quit on the men I was running the course with . .  or quit on myself. So I kept on. We find our grit through the brotherhood of F-3. The grit and determination to get up ITG and get ready for a beatdown. The grit to keep going when you hit that mental wall.

I hit that wall today on the last mosey/run and slowed from a jog to a walk. I was quickly picked up by my brother Ronda Rousey who encouraged me and pushed me to continue on. So I dug deep and found that extra gear . . .  that deep well of “im not going to let my brother down” and sped up to a run again. THANK YOU Ronda for that prodding so I could dig deeper.

We all have that extra gear. That grit and determination that pushes us to our limits . . . and beyond. We access that with the peer pressure and brotherhood of F-3 that drives us to constantly improve ourselves.

My challenge to you is to use that grit and determination to push through in all aspects of your life. When you feel beaten down, when you feel defeated, when you feel like giving up . . . . dig deeper to find that grit. We all have it, as evidenced by the effort y’all put in each and everyday at F-3. Now its up to you to find it in your everyday lives.

Naked Man Moleskin

Prayers for Niners and family, and Wet Wipes MIL as his FIL is going to pass on soon.

Four days . . . 4 Qs. Three AOVQs. One Ruck club VQ. I’m tired.  I slept like crap all week in fear of oversleeping and fartsacking a Q. (plus driving to Iowa/Black Panther required extra travel times) But I am happy I did it. I got to post with over 20+ PAX that I havent met before, and truly enjoyed the mental challenge of setting up fun Qs.

Super 8 – Im guessing more running than you anticipated.  😉

Wet Wipe- Good call on skipping the trash pandas. Those were stupid. Look for my next Qs . .  powerlifting again 😉

catfish Hunter- always a pleasure . .  and welcome to the wonderful world of rucking!!!!

Patchouli- Thank you for coming to your first Ruck Q too my brother. This is what I do for EC a lot . . .

Flush- Kickass site Q and thanks for having my 6. When we got strung out at the end your guidance back there helped guys find that extra grit.

Ronda Rousey- Always a pleasure brother. and THANK YOU for helping me tap into that inner grit when I needed the push!!!

Giggles- Appreciate you coming out, and you reaching out via the Divorce channel. You embody the F-2 fellowship and brotherhood, and I cant thank you enough.

Radio Flyer- Kick ass job pushing through the pain! I think you and I need to go running so we can get better at it.

Magellan- Its been awhile . . . good to post with you again! (and you better sign up for next Frontline OCR!)

Mayhem- When everyone else was struggling at the end of the last run, you were flying around like a damn NASCAR driver on the last turn. Way to lead with performance!

Ann Arbor- No lie . . . Im obsessed with your afro like facial hair. Its truly glorious.

Sweet Gherkins- I dont think I have heard you speak yet. I look forward to that in the future.

Blueprints- I thought you legitimately were dead at the end. Your sprint at the end is the definition of finding that inner grit.

Spork, Short Round- Great to meet you and look forward to getting you know you more at future Qs
