Circle of Trust
Talked about just how mentally exhausted the world events going on right now have made me. I’ve had to step away from the news, social media, etc. Instead of listening and watching the disrespect and lack of empathy towards others, im focusing on making sure my 2.0s are being raised to understand the importance of respecting all people.
Message: Children close their ears to advice but open their eyes to example. Talked about the importance of setting a good example for our kids especially during times like these. Shared a story about my 2.0 and how he was oblivious to his friend having different color skin than him because kids don’t see that as an identifier of differences.
If we don’t want these same issues to continue when our children get older then we need to not only tell them the importance of respecting all people, but more importantly we need to show them with our actions. They will imitate our actions when they grow up, keep that in mind.
