Introduction

Monday’s can be tough. Throw in a weekend of March Madness and 60 degree weather and this Monday morning may have proven a little tougher than usual for some. Who cares! Time to kick Monday in the teeth and start our week’s off with a bang, Black Diamond style!

Warm-O-Rama

All PAX ran down the entire parking lot, around the round-about and started heading back to the Flags. All stopped at the first of 4 islands in the lot. PAX spread out in a line and Skip Jumped to the next island. Once there, hold plank for the 6. Two Scoop Squats IC x 10. Skip Jump to the next island. Mountain Climbers IC x 6. Skip Jump to the next island. Good Morning’s IC x 10. Skip Jump to the last island. WARMED UP!!

The Thang

Thang 1: At the bottom of the Stairs: 25 Coupon Swings + Run up the stairs and back down the path. At bottom of the hill, Burpee Broad Jump back to the Coupons. BBJ: 1 Burpee + 1 Broad Jump…2 Burpees + 2 Broad Jumps…3+3, etc etc. Most PAX needed to get to 6 or 7 BBJ’s to get to the Coupon. That was 1 round. We did 4 rounds, only thing that changed was Coupon Swings which increased by 25 each time, culminating in 100 Coupon Swings for the last round.

After Thang 1, all PAX ran back through the length of the parking lot again. At the round-about hands behind heads for Prisoner Runs back to the Flags. Once back, headed over to the fields.

Thang 2: Four Corners Escalator

At each corner, complete 10 good ass Merkins. Gorilla Walk to the next cone on the North/South directions and Lunge Walk on the East/West directions. Once around once, add 20 Reverse Plank Knee2Chest’s to the 10 good ass Merkins…once around again, add 30 Freddie Mercury’s.

0555 we headed back to the Coupons for Mary.

Mary: Captain Thor (1 Big Boy Sit Up + 4 American Hammers, 2:8, 3:12…up to 10:40). We all finished.

Circle of Trust

Shoutout to Mellencamp for his first Black Diamond (and Elway for his second). Both forced themselves out of their Comfort Zone to come hang around for an hour. A good reminder for all of us to continue to seek out ways to get out of our Comfort Zone, find our edge(s) and drive towards it. That is where #Growth happens!!

Naked Man Moleskin

Appletini did not, in fact, lose his dinner. Boxcutter killed the first Thang, although Serena was a little skeptical of his broad jump “shuffle.” We only covered about 2 miles. Typically Black Diamond’s are upwards of 3 to 4 on average. Took more of a Bootcamp-style approach with this one so I hope it stood up to the Standard.

Love, Uncle Rico
