Introduction

Weather Girl, Cheryl Scott is usually pretty good about keeping Captain Underpants informed about what to expect.  On this day, lots and lots of rain was the expectation –and so YHC prepared a boot camp workout that would keep us under the shelter of the pavilion.  But lo and behold, it was not rain, but a razor sharp wind that was attacking from the East.  As I inscribed the exercises on the concrete with chalk that damned wind was bursting right through the shelter.  So, I tilted a picnic table to help act as a barrier.  When the rest of the PAX arrived, they helped set up a few more picnic table barriers –and it helped …a little bit.

Here’s what happened next…

YHC was impressed with the true grit demonstrated by so many guys for this workout.  Some made it through the course 3+ times!

You’ve probably posted when it was very cold and/or very wet.  If you haven’t, I hope it’s just because you’re a new guy.  Dredd talked at Growruck about how this brief suffering together –our workouts AND the sometimes shitty weather conditions is what galvanizes the bond that we have as men of F3 Naperville and F3 Nation.  It humbles us …but it also strengthens and makes us more durable.  Doing a Q in “extreme” weather is another great learning experience that I would highly recommend.

Strong numbers on “extreme” days = Lots of HIM
