Introduction

Well, finally no need to modify planned workouts due to weather. My last 4, I had to modify. I was pumped to come early and set up with no issue and to make the best of this new park/AO. I wanted to end COT on top of the hill, so ran up there to plant the flag for the pic as well. I was so caught up on ensure we stay off the grass (in progress), i had the flag upside down. During warm-0-rama Twilight spotted it right away and fixed it.

As the cars came it, it was obvious that there were more bodies there than the HC’s on slack. To get 11 guys to come out to a AO, was a win. As for the intensity of the workout, that was not going to change whether it was 2 of us or 20. So here we go!

The Thang

THANG 1

Qpounder (using the parking lot from south end to north)
–run to 1st island (light pole)
–25 merkins (run back to where you started and then run to 2nd island)
–50 air squats (run back to where you started and then run to 3rd island)
–75 mountain climbers (run back to where you started and then run to 4th island)
–100 big boy situps (run back to the beginning)

THANG 2
Basketball court (sideline sideline) – 4s (4-1, 3-2, etc)
-burpees on both sides, bear crawl to one end, lunge back to the other end

THANG 3 (lrunning oop set around the tennis AND pickle ball courts as partners swaw- start south of the basketball court)

Dora (partner up)
–100 knee ups (one leg each)
–200 Carolina dry docs (reduced to 150 due to ti)
–300 curls (stopped at 554am)

Circle of Trust

The initial thoughts of this CoT was from another Q, however I wanted to focus on a different angle this time around.

Walt Disney said….the difference between winning and losing is most often not quitting.”

Reality is we cant always be the best in everything. we can’t be #1 in everything which means we aren’t winning all the time. We come up short at times, we lose. Maybe we even see second place as a loss. For those with kids, it is inevitable and we have to explain to them on how to deal with losing, which really isn’t that bad, when compared to quitting.

When things get tough we come up with excuses, and create justifications as to why something is unachievable.We don’t intentionally aim to lose, but if we do get the short end of the straw, it is important to remind ourselves that it is not the end of the world. We should be able to tolerate the inevitable losses, on the road to success, in this competitive world. But we have to re-wire ourselves to do that. We have to build new neutral pathways, by substituting a new thought for an old thought. taking incremental steps to get better is key. One thing we can’t do is to quit completely. Whenever you feel like quitting, visualize the skill you would build, if you hung in. If need be, rely on somethings, someone else, or rely on your faith, pray!

Galations 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

In time things will fall in place, but that can only happen if you don’t give up, and continue to push yourself!

Naked Man Moleskin

I was excited to Q at this location. However I didn’t want to get overwhelmed with so many things are the park that can be used for the workout and that leading to too much going on. I had a plan in mind for a balanced workout and stuck with it.

I was also excited to have my FNG go thru this workout and along with that, the 2 HIMs, Gaylord and Niners, that got me in f3, made their return after some hibernation, were there to support me, FNG and give themselves a good beatdown. So for sure we knew, we will have some mubblechatter!

Nala got things squared away with the flag and checkedin with me and had by 6 all thru.

And you know it is Twilight if you see someone working on stretching bands as their pre warmup! This is ready for any sort of workout!

Audrew 2 who I almost mistook for an FNG, cause I had not seen him before and sure enough he is making a return after becoming a dad. He sure didn’t show any rust in his workout.

Lawnmower was quite, composed and already had on his St. Partrick’s colors!

It was good to get to know Ck (who i am 100% sure is the most attended PAX at 2 Wolves). He would be first in line for that AO flag! Not sure why Tonka only invited him out to this AO and not the surrounding ones. Well, we will see Ck at Citadel and outpost soon!

Vitamix was a last minute show and he (getting ready for his VQ), not only was all in with the workout but also showed his humorous side to name our FNG Larry the Cucumber, who btw did great for his first workout; no fussing, def pushed himself throughout!

When I think of a certain workout, i think of certain pax (due to how good they are at it). HHGreg didnt dissapoint while I had the pleasure to bear crawl next to him). He made it look easy and was just FAST!

Overall good group of men, with encouraging thoughts and feedback! This is the second AAR which included a request for music. Would everyone just stop working out and start dancing if I started blasting Indian music? We’ll have to see!
