Introduction

Good morning – Outpost 12/14/2020 Monday 5:15am

  • I am not a professional
  • You are here at your own free will
  • I am not aware of any injuries you may have
  • We are here at different fitness levels, Modify if needed, but push yourself to get stronger

Principles of F3

  • free of charge
  • open to all men are
  • held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
  • led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion,
  • End with a Circle of Trust

It was shared with the PAX that running is something I am bad at and never enjoyed and in my Early F3 days always felt better with OYO options since I could do things at my own pace. Well, the plan for today was to DO THINGS AS A GROUP and RUN, along with lots of REPS!

Warm-O-Rama

  • Imperial Walkers 14 IC
  • Abe Vigoda 14 IC
  • Arm Circles 10 IC | Reverse 10 IC

Mosey to the west pavilion (in the midst of all the baseball fields)

The Thang

**Inspired from a recent post with Moonlight – pearls on a string**

  1. First PAX picks an exercise, and everyone performs it with 10 REPS
  2. Run a loop around the outside of the baseball field (~.25 miles)
  3. The last stretch back to the pavilion, the grass area, PAX had to run backwards
  4. Repeat 1-3 by adding on 10 reps of the next exercise (for 7 rounds
If there as an ad in the music being played we had to do burpees. This happened only onces cause spotify gave BluesClues 30 minutes of ad free music.

  • PAX ran back to the flags and performed Burp-merk-inch (led by Flush)
  • PAX station at every other parking spot in plank position
  • first PAX at the corner starts with burpee and perform burpee at every lane passing each PAX lan
  • while this PAX it at each lane performing burpees, the PAX on plank is performing 5 merkins
  • we continue this until all PAX get to do to their burpees at each lane

We had about 20 seconds to spare and we held Squat.

422 calories | 2.45 miles | Lots of reps | Faster and Stronger!
Blues Clues came thru with playing the last dance sound track on my request!

Circle of Trust

I started working from home in early March of 2020 and got back almost 3 hrs of door to door commute.
I got to spend lots of additional time with M and 2.0 which was much needed as we braced to prepare for the pandemic. This also led to lots of unhealthy eating, not sleeping until 3am and waking up at 855am just to start work at 9am. Not to mention binge watching shows and mobile time late nights, etc.

F3 was introduced to me via my small group men in. As I got acquainted  to it the initial days in July, I was hooked on to F3, to get in better shape, build healthier habits and connect with so many HIMs. This led to days starting at 4am and having to end between 9-10pm. But also, led to more time being spend on better food/cooking routines, just more focus on MY agenda vs my families agenda.

As we were somewhat immune to the pandemic, started spending more time doing home improvements, DIYs and learning things. This was awesome for the house, but it meant my 2.0 was just expected to be around in the same room, but no real direct interactions with me while I’m spending hours building fixing and enhancing the house. Good intentions, but with some cost.

Basically, I was not doing well in finding a balance in all the things I was doing. Even though I was picking up good habits, doing those in extreme was giving away time from family and being connected in other areas. Whether it is quality time, or development goals with work or spiritual quiet time, I wasn’t making the time.

Proverbs 25:16, NLT: “Do you like honey? Don’t eat too much, or it will make you sick!”

Moderation and balance in all things. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Extreme use of anything is abuse. God wants us to maximize the use of things in life by not overusing any of them. This is an important rule of wisdom and success for your life.

For instance, as we read in Proverbs, God created honey as a sweet gift for taste, and it is good for your body. Yet too much can overwhelm your senses and make you sick. When we find something pleasant, we should use it prudently for its intended purpose.

Every man’s honey is different. What is your honey?

Are we spending too much time in certain areas to benefit, that come at the cost of losing in other areas? It could be something simple as time management, or it could be indulging in food or alcohol, it could be toxic relationships or just fully being disconnected from healthy relationships. Are we doing things with good intentions, but not knowing the consequences?

Whatever your honey is, as you go into the holiday season, and look fwd to 2021, reflect on 2020. Consider areas you can find alignment and better balance!

Naked Man Moleskin

A week or so ago, Flush at his COT shared that anyone who get’s on the Q sheet, he will come post. He kept his word. This being my AOVQ, I wasn’t focused on how many PAX would show up. It mattered that whoever did come out, I will have a good showing to help them improve as I push myself as well. More than half of them, I remember, them seeing me in my early days, just struggling to keep up with anything. So it was nice to see them today, their encouragement, their humility as they followed my direction and seen me improve (still got ways to go). I’m thankful for these HIMs as I got to connect with a couple of new faces(with masks) as well.
