Introduction
-Welcome to The Complex, I’m Smalls, thanks for coming out everyone.
-Full moon was on display, very cold, although no wind (always a nice positive for the PAX)

The Thang
-Grab vest/ruck – mosey to the Pavilion.
-“Dealer’s Choice” version of a beatdown today with a Texas Hold ‘Em finish. Two decks of cards laid out on the picnic table, each PAX picks one to denote the exercise we’re performing (listed below).
-Each round, 7 PAX draw a card. Complete all 5 exercises, each in cadence. When finished, mosey as a group to lighted cone and back (with ruck if you have one). 5 burpees each destination cone. Rinse and Repeat. Also, in honor of our friend Noonan who was laid to rest yesterday, wear your ruck for the lap. Doing burpees with the ruck was NOT a crowd pleaser…
-Check parking lot for icy conditions.
-Hold onto the card(s) you choose. Remember your team number. Place cards in the “Team 1” or “Team 2” pile. This was a little confusing at the start, but I think PAX picked it up at round 2 and beyond.

-After 4th-5th round (due to time), teams will compile the best 5 card hand. Losing team performs 10 Penalty Burpees. We made it through 3 rounds, I believe.
-We drew 2 Jacks, which resulted in 2 full founds of Jack Webb’s to 10. Also drew 2 Aces. Lots of Clubs, Diamonds, Spades and Hearts. No Queens, however….
-Team 2 ended up winning, they somehow managed 4-of-a-kind with Kings. What? Team 1 performed 10 penalty burpees while Team 2 held squat.

-In trying to demonstrate/discuss Monkey Humpers to the FNG, Catheter, I mentioned for him to “bend over and grab his ankles”. Fully innocent in thought and but obviously came out wrong. Hopefully I didn’t scare him away and he continues to come back ITG!
-Jack Webb’s were a pain today – I think Smokey might have slipped in that second Jack….
-No wildlife at The Complex this morning.
