Following Sputnik’s COT yesterday, I reflected on how I haven’t been giving COT the focus it deserves in my recent posts. During a work webinar yesterday, I was reminded of the importance of storytelling both in a professional and personal relationship view. From a management or executive standpoint, how you tell your story impacts employees and customers impression of the company and values. It can mean the difference between delivering poor news in a bad light versus spinning a negative into a positive.
On a personal level, every father has an opportunity to be a storyteller to their kids…literally on a nightly basis. As you say good night to your young ones, you have the opportunity to tell a story: create a character who is faced with a problem, and then meets a guide who helps give the character a plan to call them into action, then ends in success(or avoids failure). A great story instills trust, relatability, makes a connection and calls listeners to action.
We can all be good storytellers but it takes practice. Be the storyteller that calls others into action.

Great mumble chatter today! We had a great group. Funny how there can be music playing and 26 guys talking, and yet NachoLibre dominates the conversation. Great having him out and thanks for making us all laugh and keeping it light.
Thanks to Ebeneezer for having the 6 and being an awesome Site Q!
