The Thang
Thang 1:
Line up and count off by 2’s. 2.0’s are automatically on their dad’s team and don’t count. 1’s are dark shirts, 2’s are light shirts.
Ultimate Football. Constant passing and running on a full football field in the dark with lighted cones and a glow football. Players must pass within two steps. No handoffs. Two hand touch.
Upon scoring-Scored upon team required to do 10 Burpees, scoring team does SSH’s until opposing team is done with burpees.
If teams are uneven competitively, stop play at halfway mark of workout and switch up teams.
Circle of Trust
We discussed that I wanted this to be an all-encompassing 2.0 workout, son’s and daughter’s, because of the family atmosphere that F3 brings into our lives. I in-turn, want to continue to encourage this atmosphere among the new PAX (we had some at the workout with 2 months to less then a month in F3).
Since the beginning of my time with F3, of course, the draw was a solid bootcamp style workout that was competitive. But, time and time again, I’ve observed that not only has it been preached, but it’s been displayed that family is one of the pillars of our foundation here in Naperville. So much so, that it should almost be the 4th F.
As such, the whole purpose of the workout this morning was to get the kids involved not only with their dad’s in a workout, but to let their son’s and daughter’s observe other strong positive male role models for an hour on a Saturday morning.
Aye!
We closed out with a prayer thanking the Lord for watching over us this morning and protecting the dad’s and the 2.0’s from injury. We also asked that the Lord observe the silent prayers in our hearts and our heads and help us with those struggles that we are dealing with currently. Amen.
Naked Man Moleskin
First off, I was skeptical in the past of a Saturday game day only Q, but we worked our butt’s off. My Garmin said I ran almost 2.5 miles. The teams were evenly matched and the dark shirt team won at the buzzer 5-4.
The last 5 minutes was an absolute track meet with WiaB somehow cherry picking a score to win the game. I thought you had a broken toe, buddy? But yet your tracker said 2.3 miles or something like that! Good stuff!
It was a lot of fun getting the son’s and daughter’s out there on the field and getting them involved. They were running, catching, and throwing harder then some of the PAX.
I fully expect 2.0 Napster to step up in the next few weeks and Q a workout at Dark Tower. That 7 year old was everywhere!
Until next time,
Laimbeer
