Circle of Trust

So – when I signed up for this workout, I was excited about doing some sort of Jason themed Friday the 13th type workout, but in all honesty, have been distracted, work has been weird, and quite honestly, didn’t have it in me to put that together for this one.

That said – Friday the 13th got me thinking about the idea of luck. It seems unlucky that the coronavirus has spread to a point where it is interrupting daily life for most people at this point. When we think like that it makes us angry, afraid, and other things that ultimately pull us away from our Maker.

The Bible says that people living “under the sun” (in other words earthly lives) may believe in luck – the idea that random good or bad stuff happens, however, if we are living Godly lives, we know this isn’t the case. God is in control. God either makes things happen through divine intervention, or God allows things to happen by giving us free will. However, if God does not want something to happen, it won’t.

Ultimately, God will be glorified by all things – unfortunately for us, the timing of God doesn’t necessarily match up with our agenda, so it can be difficult to understand, however, we can take comfort in the fact that things are not just randomly happening, but that we have a loving Maker who has His hand on the wheel.

Our Father,
Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth, as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, power and glory for ever and ever
Amen

So, as I reflect this morning, I am thankful that I have the health to get up and get after it. That is something I take for granted, and really should be more intentional about giving thanks (sincerely) for this.

Thank you to Flo for stepping in and doing a great job watching the 6, and for Lewinsky for making sure no man was left behind.

Thank you Zelda for the great push, and for leading us on the last couple legs of our death march.

Until next time,
Nala out
