Introduction

21 HIMs took to the streets of Lisle on a beautiful spring Saturday morning ready to go the distance. This RC was all about getting in as many miles as possible, so warm-o-rama and Mary were minimized to get the guys as much time as possible to keep moving and build endurance for long hauls.

The Thang

Start off the run getting into groups targeting 6+ miles, ~5 miles, and 4 or less miles. From there, PAX were set off on a larger loop taking us out to Yackley, then to Maple, left on Riverview, and back to short street. That totaled about 2.8 miles per loop. If possible, PAX should have gone for a second. If not, stay at the Lion and start pulling smaller loops at the Lion.

Everyone returned back to the flags at 7:25 and split up into two lines to get a couple quick rounds of Karaokes and some unexpected sprints to make it interesting! We finished off the session with some LBCs for a little core action.

Circle of Trust

This RC was all about endurance and pushing ourselves to keep at it. Each HIM came into the event with a miles goal, and went at it. I continue to be humbled by seeing the men in this group continuously work towards their goals and become better, stronger, and faster.

Naked Man Moleskin

Congrats to Dorn and Sulley, as this was both of their 100th posts! After the RC, many of the HIMs were able to enjoy a beverage and hang around for 2nd F to celebrate the accomplishment. It was a great way to start the day.

During my short time with this group, I have seen many of these men posting multiple times a week, and their hard work is showing. This is some helpful motivation, and a reminder to me that I need to step up my game 🙂
