Introduction

Nice weather this morning.  Temperature dropped to fairly cool condition, slight breeze.  We invited the gnats to wake up and enjoy the workout.  We didn’t wake up for easy, so let’s move.

The Thang

Thang 1:  B.O.M.B.S.

Partner up.  While one partner runs around one of 5 cones(increased length for each station), the other partner does the following:  Overhead Press(40 reps), Merkins(80), Curls(120), Mountain Climbers(160) and Squats(200).  When running partner returns, switch spots and assume the count where other left off.  SSH for the 6.

Thang 2:  Bill Murray – Complete the following:  10 derkins, 10 squats, 10 10 bent over rows and 10 BBS-U’s.  Then run a Bernie Sanders up the hill.  Rinse and repeat, only after Round 1, just run up the hill.  After 3 or 4 rounds, it felt like Groundhog’s Day, so we moved on to Thang 3.

Thang 3:  At the Carillon, partner up with someone different than your partner in Thang 1.  First PAX does 20 box jumps on the Carillon wall.  Second PAX does LBC’s until first partner finishes, then switch.  Rinse and repeat until 5:53.

Mary:  American Hammers, Freddie Mercury’s, Pickle Pounders, Superman’s

Circle of Trust

I was reminded of one of my favorite quotes last week during a Clearcoat CoT:  10% of your outcome in life is what happens, and 90% is the way that you respond.

Gandhi said:  ‘Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.  Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.  Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.’

I’ve been reflecting on attitude and perception with my 2.0’s a lot recently, particularly with my son, who has been struggling with self-confidence as he navigates the difficult junior high years.  Those messages apply to us as men as our depicted attitude has a carry-over effect on our M’s, 2.0’s, co-workers, friends and family.  I appreciate Gandhi’s message as your behavior starts with your thoughts.  If you think positively, your actions will be positive.  There’s a lasting effect on your behavior, as those around you will emulate your actions, whether that’s at home, work, in exercise or fellowship.  Positive behavior promotes positive behavior.

Prayers for Wet Wipe’s family as his brother battles Stage 4 cancer.

Prayers for Ebeneezer and Ghost Pepper’s family.

Naked Man Moleskin

Welcome to our newest friendly new guy, Hacksaw!

We certainly woke up the gnats.  I had 4 fly into my eyes in a span of 40 minutes.  Great workout and great chatter with this lively group.
