Had this one all thought out long before the Winter Weather Advisory came out…
Yep, Old Man Winter threw a little wrench in my plan but 28 degrees, 12 MPH winds and 3″+ of snow was not gonna derail my plan. I packed my shovel, showed up a little early and cleared the snow covering the lines that would be our playground ITG. Of course, I shoveled the wrong spot and found handicap spots where I wasn’t expecting them. Oh well, it’s 0515….f it. The PAX will figure it out…sort of.

Take a Road Trip!
We are about to launch, no pun intended, the 9th AO in our region, The Launch Pad next Friday. There are literally a hundred PAX ITG busting it, forming relationships, laughing their ass off, etc on any given morning. We are blessed with so many good dudes in this region and I maybe see less than a quarter of them in any given week. Shame on me…
I ended up spending most 2019 at the 2 AO’s. I somehow convinced myself that there’s no way I can get to Dark Tower or The Complex or Black Panther or The Ridge or Iron Lion during the week or even the weekends and get home in time for my daily responsibilities. Well, I call Bull Shit on myself.
As we have been reminded recently, life is too short. I wanna meet and get to know Catheter (never thought I’d say that)…Sputnik…Ebeneezer…Short Round and all the Fun New Guys and some of the old guys I’ve yet to meet.
I’ve committed to getting around in 2020 (get your mind out of the gutter Appletini, TBD and Rusty). I’m gonna post all the AO’s! F*** that, I’m gonna Q all the AO’s…2 or 4 times this year. I hate New Year’s Resolutions but if I had one this would be it! (proper grammar and punctuation will have to wait until 2021)
I encourage you to Road Trip, you won’t regret it. I went to Iron Lion yesterday for the first time (who know Roach Coach was an Uber driver) and those guys know how to have fun! They have taken Mumblechatter to a whole new level. The Complex has wild animal noises. Black Panther has Toasted Coconut coffee, try it you’ll like it. Hell, no excuse not to coffeeteria at The Ridge. They do it right there.
So, find someone you post with often that you really don’t know that well, lie to your boss and tell him you have a doctor’s appointment (it’s just a white lie God will forgive you, but don’t lie to your M forgiveness will take a lot longer), drive across town, post with some guys you don’t know, at an AO you’ve never or rarely been to, stay for coffeeteria and get to work a little late. You won’t regret it.
