The Thang

We started rucking North towards Caffe di Moda in downtown Lisle. We went under the bridge and used Burlington Street to go East. We walked through the Prairie Walk between US-53 and Garfield ave. After getting our coffee, we went via the train station’s stairs, and from Front Street, we took Main Steet South. On Short Steet, we crossed US-53. We finished our loop in the community park, and at 07:30, we were done with our ~ 3.20 mile rucking.

Circle of Trust

Last Sunday, Blues Clues posted a reminder that we have only five weeks to reach our goals for this year! And it struck me because I had a goal to do a seven-pack this year. And I realized that if I do not do it this week, this goal may roll over to the next year. It is easy to get distracted and not choose your priorities right with the upcoming busy holidays season. I really appreciate PAX, who put their effort into keeping this organization moving forward and are proactive beyond their responsibilities. I’ll end up with the quote I found on Trailer Park’s backblast: “Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.”

One of the benefits of Rucking is to have more deep conversations between PAX. It is a benefit that is hard to get in another type of workout. I’m glad we had a nice size group today and could share stories between us. Thank you all for coming this morning, and have a great weekend!
