If you hate coupon’s show up and learn to love them and if you already love coupon’s then this is where you want to be.”

I arrive early to jog a lap plant the flag and make sure pax parked where Happy Camper wanted us to.

Circle of Trust

Today I want to talk about disruption, doing something different and stepping outside of your comfort zone to help positively impact yourself and others.

I’m in software sales and my job is to literally disrupt school administrators day’s by getting them to look at something to buy for teachers and students. Compounded by the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic with a ton of unknowns and choas with remote learning. It’s not welcomed contact.

Sales reps get a bad reputation in the first place mainly because so many are selfish, greedy, and in it for themselves. But not all are like this and others have chosen to change that perception.

People often disrupt me in the same way, they have an agenda and usually want to get something for themselves. You don’t have to be like that. You can disrupt someone’s day meaningfully and have a positive impact by simply showing interest, understanding and caring. But you have to mean it.

But how often do people reach out, ask about something close to you and genuinely care? It’s rare.

Be that person that remembers a small detail that matters to someone else and take an actual interest in what they have going on. Remember those details and reach out and ask that person about their day, small detail with the mindset of gaining nothing more than being generally interested in that person. It’s a welcomed disruption for that person and it builds rapport, respect and trust.

Disruptions in life can be positive when they are meaningful, unselfish and done with heart. Be a positive disrupter.
