Introduction

This morning’s boot camp workout had you wondering if you accidentally showed up for the run club. We were able to get in close to 2 miles of running on top of two different Dora inspired Thangs. Everyone pushed themselves and had great attitudes. Way to go men!

Warm-O-Rama

Abe Vigodas x 12

Arm Circles x 10/direction

Imperial Walkers x 12

The Thang

Thang 1 – Burpee Mile

We ran from the flags to the bridge and stopped every quarter mile to do 12 burpees.

Thang 2 – Dora with the coupon

Partner 1:

Overhead Press x 200

Arm Curls x 300

Chest Press x 400

  • I called an audible and changed the curls to 250 reps so we could get in as many Chest Press reps until time ran out

Partner 2:

Run one lap around the parking lot ~ 1/4 mile.

Circle of Trust

I talked about how important commitment is. We all have certain commitments in our lives. Some are negotiable and some are non-negotiable, such as family, work, and our health. Sometimes our commitments can feel like obligations and that can be negative and feel draining. Instead, focus intently on those commitments that lift you up. Some synonyms for commitment are Dedication, Devotion, Faithfulness, Loyalty, and Steadfastness…all of these are very positive traits. I would be honored if someone said I was a loyal friend or if someone saw me as a devoted father.

Commitment also brings with it accountability. When we HC for a workout there are other people who see that and hold us accountable for showing up the next day. When we are in the middle of a workout and are not fully committed then there is accountability in the form of being called out.

Commitment –> Accountability –> Impact

“The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.”

-Tony Robbins.
