Recover, recover.

ah…two of the most beautiful words in the lexicon

Circle of Trust

Today I shared about my recent experience with alcoholism. I joined Spirit in “Sober ‘Tober,” mostly in support, and without thinking much about it. However, it has steadily become more and more personal, and more and more real.

It turns out my dad is a severe alcoholic. He has been for a while, but I never really noticed it before. Sober Tober has increased my awareness of alcohol, and I’ve also been reading about it quite a bit. For anyone interested, I recommended reading the Alcoholics Anonymous book, “The Big Book,” just to learn more.

I have learned a lot from the book, and now feel like I understand my Dad a bit more. I am also better equipped to walk with him through this terrible disease.

Perhaps this resonates with a few others. All I asked is that we try to increase our awareness of this terrible disease and educate ourselves about it.

Naked Man Moleskin

I was pretty tired today, but you men motivate me to lead. As always, thank you for being you, and thank you for being F3 NAPERVILLE!
