The Thang
Upper Body Circuit – all exercises were sets of 20(except for Blockees -10). Each exercise took 25-40 seconds, depending on the PAX. We then did jump rope for 20-35 seconds(on the minute).

Prayers for WetWipe’s brother, those that were impacted by the Naperville/Woodridge tornado 2 weeks ago, those impacted by the Florida building collapse last week and all prayers that we hold silently.
As I was sitting around the pool with friends yesterday, a group began speculating about potential side effects from COVID vaccinations and potential long term effects of the disease. I believe one of the men said that 6 women amongst over 100 million had come down with some condition and while tragic, there may or may not be any correlation between their vaccination shot and whatever condition they suffered from.
As a society, we have become quick to judge, speculate and blame people(or companies, industries, etc.) for almost everything that happened. I shared a story with the group about my brother’s daughter(niece), Brianna, who passed away 12 years ago, at the age of 13. She suffered headaches for about a month before going to the ER for an MRI. She was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor that primarily impacts adolescents, about 120/year. There was no cure(unfortunately, that’s still the case) for the tumor and it was inoperable since it wrapped itself around the brain and spinal cord. Doctor’s diagnosis: 98% death rate within a year and almost 100% within 2 years.
Brianna lived another 9 months with the help of an experimental drug from St. Jude’s and then Lorie’s Hospital. Dealt a very tough hand. It was and remains difficult to deal with. As a Catholic, it’s hard to understand God’s plan all of the time. But I do know that God has a plan for us all. You all make yourself better every day and do your best, but bad things can happen to good people. Trust in God’s plan for us all and when your time comes, be at peace. God bless!

We had a great group come out this morning. I suspect that everyone wanted to follow Marla Hooch, after he HC’d early. The Nan’tan showed up without a jump rope, so he got plenty of SSH’s in before we decided to share. Thanks to all who came out!
