Introduction

Nice Spring morning to get out there and complete the 4th installment of the Weekend Warrior Challenge.  Low 50’s, Beautiful morning!

We had a little issue with getting someone on the Q for this as of Friday night as Backstreet was signed up to do the Q, I forgot to check the Google doc sheet to see who was signed up for the Q (Site-Q fail on my end), no one put out a PreBlast until Curds stepped up late Friday night to take the Q and posted a PreBlast.

It started out kind of messy with little organization………..

This workout started off a little shaky since we really didn’t have an organized plan going in due to the situation on Friday night determining who the Q was going to be.  Backstreet signed up for it but was busy Friday helping a friend and didn’t put out a PreBlast.  He was originally going to do a regular boot camp style workout.  I failed to check the Google doc sheet to see if anyone had signed up for the workout (Site-Q fail, won’t happen again) and asked on Slack if anyone was willing to step up to lead this.  I was going to do the Weekend Warrior Challenge regardless and be on the virtual link in case anyone else was going to attend.  After some time, Curds stepped up to take the Q and lead us, leaving the 5:15 workout he previously HC’d for.  Backstreet got back to us on Slack after Dilly Dilly noticed that Backstreet had taken the Q for Saturday and both Dilly Dilly and TPS Reports mentioned that Backstreet was signed up to be the Q.  I left it up to Curds and Backstreet to determine who would be the Q and would see them in the virtual gloom at 6:30 am Saturday.

Saturday morning came and I signed on to the virtual link and was soon joined by Super 8, Curds, Webelos, and Backstreet.  There was still a little confusion as to what we were going to do but it was decided to do the Weekend Warrior Challenge for the workout.  Curds offered to Backstreet to lead us in the warm-o-rama and he did.  After that, Curds kicked off the workout and away we went.  Bob Ross joined us a little late in the workout but we were glad to have him!  All PAX finished the workout and we stayed on to chat a little while Bob Ross finished the challenge due to his late start.  While BR finished, he offered for me to start count-o-rama and name-o-rama in case anyone had to leave for other obligations.  I did that and then also gave the COT announcements and COT message all while BR finished his workout.  Super 8 gave the prayer and we finished up for the morning with a little 2nd F before people signed off and went on the rest of their Saturday.

My message to the PAX was again about change and how it has played a big role in my life over this COVID-19 pandemic.  A lot of things have changed not only for me but for so many others in this challenging time we all are going through.  Change can be good, bad, indifferent, a struggle, but for certain, change is constant.  The most constant thing for me during all this change had been the support of the brothers in F3.  Every day we show up in the gloom to support each other not only in the workouts (Fitness) but in the other 2 components, Fellowship and Faith.  I will be forever grateful for F3 and for the opportunity to be a part of this group!

I think with all the craziness between Friday night in searching for someone to lead us, and Saturday’s workout, a lot of things changed and I think we made it through just fine!
