The Thang
Mosey to Waubonsee Valley parking lot – as we neared our location for Thang 1 we did some mobility drills in and out of the parking lot.
Thang 1 – Practice football field – B.O.M.B.S at the goal line – 50- goal line-50-goal line (5 B.O.M.B.S total)
5 Burpees
10 overhead claps
15 hand release merkins
20 big boys
25 squats
lunge walk each 50 yards to get to the next set of B.O.M.B.S
Thang 2 – Off the lake path there are some step up cement blocks where 7 guys fit perfectly. 7 guys do 40 Durkins while other 7 do American hammers in cadence. Switch. 7 guys do step ups with one leg through the air while 7 guys do scissor kicks in cadence. Switch. 7 guys do Rocky Balboa’s while 7 guys do LBC’s
Thang 3 – .5 mile Indian run back to the flag in two lines.

Circle of Trust
Circle of Trust today was to honor our brother Sparkler. Sparkler and his wife had their second baby 2 weeks ago and little Abby has had some very difficult health issues. Abby has Galactosemia which is a rare genetic disorder that impacts how she turns milk into sugar. On top of that Abby got sepsis and meningitis symptoms. She was transferred from Edwards Hospital to Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge. Sparkler and his M our currently spending long days and nights at the hospital to be with Abby while trying to care for their 4 year old. Sparkler is the definition of F3. You want a fitness story to tell how far he has come since he joined? Its there. Weight loss, increased speed, buckets of sweat :). Went from the 6 at Black Diamonds to one of the most respected guys out there and he has done more than anyone in 2021. Created BD3’s and BD4’s and encouraged others to reach farther to complete those lofty milestones. His enthusiasm before, during, and after workouts is only matched by his follow up to fellow PAX to compliment them on a great post, particular accomplishment, or phenomenal achievement. He lives all 3 F’s and is a great family man. Join me in lifting up him and his family in prayers as Abby fights through this difficult period.
Heavenly Father watch over Abby, and grant that she may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!
Naked Man Moleskin
EC crew was strong. Ball Boy, Glenn, Elmer Fudd, Wide Right, BassMaster, myself, and the legend himself Bob Ross. We covered the other half of the AO that wouldn’t be used much during the workout. Arrived back at 5:12 and the PAX were rolling in and ready to go. Special Smokey sighting which is rare these days. Was surprised he didn’t show up in his 01′ letterman’s jacket. Smokey knew he was coming to support his boy Serena so he rounded up Old Woody from Crossroads and things were looking up. We knew mumblechatter would be strong and the nut shots would be rampant. Unfortunately for Woody they carried on to coffeteria. Woody developed a slight crush on BassMaster due to his love for hunting and also created a cute nickname for him – AssMaster! Ball Boy turned a little red when Glenn kept rubbing in Sunday’s race results. Marc Larson – our FNG that myself, AssMaster, Five Hole, and Puddin Pop know from church showed up and was ready to work. He should be a Citadel regular in coming weeks. We thought the shenanigans were complete when we were loading up and heading to coffee but then the Crossroads guys took their shirts off before the hopped into Woody’s truck. They showed up to Starbuck’s fully clothed in fresh cotton and we continued to chat the morning away.
