Introduction

Welp it definitely snowed a bit more than I had expected and was continuing to snow at 0530 as I arrived for an EC ruck(RUCK?! Yes, ruck, or weight vest, whatever) with Flush and At At. Despite my big talk in the pre-blast ignoring any weather conditions, it became apparent very quickly that to make it through 45 minutes adjustments would be needed. On our little “weighted walk” Flush fell 3 times and At At and myself had a few close calls.

It appeared we’d be stuck to the pavilion, which I don’t love, but Webelos came through suggesting the baseball field. We got to enjoy the snowfall and get wet right away, good stuff.

*Pax did this for about 15 minutes at which point I stopped everyone to get through 55 merkins in 2 minutes. Reminding them of form and that if anyone hit 100 they probably have crappy form.

Restarted 7’s and Pax were told to complete 1 more round

*Pax were now asked to complete 65 big boys in two minutes.

Circle of Trust

I started by recognizing Buttermaker with regards to Nacho Libre’s backblast from Friday and suggested pax give it read and keep him in our thoughts.

The majority of us have 2.0’s and I assume we all internally think about the best ways to keep them feeling good and encouraged. I’ve read the book “Mindset” and the debate between growth and fixed often goes through my mind before giving feedback. I’d suggest the read if you have the time. Often times family and even ourselves will tell our 2.o’s “you’re smart” in an effort to praise and encourage. In all honesty I don’t know if my kids will be “smart” but I don’t think it matters. “Being unafraid is more important than being smart” is the quote I recently heard. I liked it, and felt it applies to all of us really. Maybe someone else will find it fitting for themselves or their 2.0 or someone else in their life that might need to hear it.

I asked to keep in mind my good friend’s dad who recently passed and all those thoughts we keep inside.

Naked Man Moleskin

It was good to be back on Q again after being away for work for a couple of months. Definitely a bit rusty but we’ll get there.

It was awesome to be out in the elements with the snow falling and working together. Everyone worked and I’m sure were wet rather quickly but I heard no complaints which is studly.

Hopefully Flush’s backside is ok after taking a spill a few times.

Mia Hamm’s phone was lost in shallow right field but we found it.

Cannoli brought an FNG, Cheryl Scott, Welcome!

Moonlight was still doing burpees in the parking lot as we drove away like a stud.
