Introduction

Somehow the phrase “Minute to Win It” got lodged in my mind as a name for this workout a few days ago.  I think it was a ‘game show’ from some morning radio show somewhere, sometime.  Anyways, the concept was AMRAP in 60 seconds.  And a winner with most reps for each round.  I did not keep track of any results so… Everyones a Winner!  Yay!

I have not signed up to Q for a while since the spot in the RV park where I go to be unobtrusive is so dark in the morning since about the end of August.  This morning I had plan to use a headlamp shining at me, a little tripod to prop my phone.  Found out last night that the timer alarm on my ancient Timex Ironman Indiglo does not produce any sound so would have to fumble on my phone between Zoom and the Timer to start and end each round (actually tested that the night before).  Awakened early to 37 degree temperature so fished out my workout gloves, only to realize I could not control the phone without cutting off a fingertip (the glove, not my hand).  Was pushing 5:13 getting out the door with a couple minute mosey to my workout spot, almost forgot my tripod but ducked back in the door to grab it.  Got to my spot and signed on and my phone already was at 5:15, only to realize that I left my notes on the table in the motorhome.  Well, guess I’m working from memory since I am not going to waste more time running back for the notes.  I forgot a couple exercises, but I actually did remember most of what I wanted to include.  I really thought the night before that the only part I was unprepared for was the COT, so I just prayed that God would give me something to talk about that would have some substance.  It seems that prayer was answered in my morning rush to pull off this Virtuosity Q!  So my thought out of this is that we can prepare for everything and fear that something will go wrong, but we in the moment sometimes we just have to make do with the situation and hope for the best.  If we have a positive attitude and push through the difficulties, we will make it though.  It might not be perfect, but it can still be effective.

Prayers for the family of a man that Singlet knew that passed away this week unexpectedly.  Also prayers the family of the firefighter that lost his life in the line of duty this week.

So I forgot about one round, which was supposed to be Coupon Swings.  I really wanted those in the workout since I haven’t been getting many in lately.  The good news is that I signed up for Virtuosity Q on Wednesday, 10/7 and have a chance to work in plenty of Coupon Swings to make up for it!
