Introduction

So – early in the week YHC saw there was an opening at Early Outpost. There is always a great crew there, so YHC grabbed it and started thinking.

Woke up before the alarm (rare) and made my way over to OP to do a final mental run-through of the game plan.

Pax started to arrive (a lot more than expected), unfortunately so did swarms of gnats. Good thing the game plan was to move around a bit, even better when Ken Doll asked if I wanted a net. YHC took him up on the offer to not choke on bugs when trying to lead.

5:15 rolled around, core principles and disclaimer were cited, and we were off.

Mosey over to the amphitheater and get ready for thang 1

The Thang

Thang 1: DORA

Partner up – and use the seats at the theater. Exercises were 100 stepups (each leg = 1/2), 200 Dirkins, 300 LBCs. While one partner does exercise, other partner runs to playground, does 5 pullups, runs back and relieves partner. Rinse and repeat until exercises are completed.

Mosey past the playground and circle up for 20 jump squats on YHCs command.

Mosey south to the trail.

Thang 2: Scout Run back to flags

Similar to an Indian run except, the PAX in front of the line sprints for 5 seconds, drops and does 5 merkins, then rejoins at the end of the line. As soon as the next pax in line passes the dude doing merkins, he sprints for 5 seconds and does merkins.

Thang 3 paver work:

Pax partnered up. One PAX exercised, while the other ran a slowsy (with the other “runners”) lap around the parking lot, so all “runners” were together and relieving exercising PAX at the same time.

Exercises used pavers, and were arm circles, front/lateral raise combo, and overhead claps.

DORA:

10 Big Boys on YHC’s command
20 Wide Leg Situps on YHC’s command
20 Crunchy Frogs in Cadence
20 Flutter Kicks in Cadence.

Circle of Trust

The school year is wrapping up. Oswego is done, 204 just had their last day, and 203 is this week.

We have all had a difficult year, but I think teachers have had it worse than most. They not only have to deal with going remote, learning how to work the technology, adjusting the way they do everything, and everything all other people have done over the last year, but they have also had to do it while helping kids through the process who may or may not have had much support from their parents.

Be sure to thank your 2.0s teacher for all they have done this year.

Prayers thanking the Sky Q for all the blessings He has bestowed on us, our bodies, and the ability to get up and make ourselves better, the freedom to do so, and F3 for the platform.

Prayers for the Compass church, opening a new building. That it may reach those who are searching for answers.

Naked Man Moleskin

It was great to have a bigger than expected group. Brooks made up for showing up late by leaving early (but in fairness, it was because he had an FNG at the Bear).

Thank you Ken Doll who kept me from choking on gnats. I think a workout in bug swarms is one thing, but trying to lead one is another…
