Find a launch point and target point to sprint to. 50 yards or more. Start with 20 merkin. Sprint to target point. 19 merkin. Sprint back to launch point. 18 merkin. Continue decreasing merkin count down to 1 merkin. Total of 210 merkin.
This is a GO TO for me when I have a football field @ the AO. Turf is simply the icing on the F3 Cupcake (see what I did there)

We broke down into teams of 5. Team 1 vs Team 3 (court one) Team 2 vs Team 4 (court two)
Losers play for 3rd and 4th place. Winners WIN!

At 0515 I asked the PAX what our (F3) Purpose was??? The PAX were quite silent which took me by surprise. I’m sure they knew the answer just didn’t raise their hand like back in school. I bet after they were like “crap I knew the answer”. It’s ok that’s why we’re here my brothers.
Our mission: plant grow and serve these small work out groups
Our purpose: invigoration of male community leadership.
I shared with the PAX Questions Leaders Should Ask About Serving which I discovered in the book I’m currently reading and close to finishing up (Good Leaders Ask Great Questions).
Are you a serving leader? To find out, ask yourself these questions:
- Why do I want to lead others?
- How important is status to me?
- Do other works for me or with me?
- Am I glad to serve others and do it cheerfully?
- Is my team better because I am on it?
- Exactly how is it better?
If you find it difficult or “beneath” you to serve others, your heart may not be right. To earn the right to lead in greater things, first learn to serve in smaller ones.
Man, that’s good stuff!
Serving isn’t convenient, nothing worth while ever is. I encouraged the PAX to not get weary when serving. Easier said than done. Been there many times. I used SQ as an example and heard a couple chuckles. I knew I had struck a cord. We don’t have TO serve we GET to serve! Swift that mindset…
