Introduction

Man that 50dg temp looked a little too chilly. Went with the base layer cause it makes my legs look cool. Other dudes showed up in shorts/short sleeves. Guess they’re more man than I am. But that’s cool. I had a routine planned out to make them all feel a little less like a man while doing it, and way more MANLY when they finished.

Special shoutout to Onions, Tailspin, and Handy Manny as they’ve been cooking these books for nearly 3 years. Great to see those faces again and YHC was humbled to have them along. Trailer Park and Gaylord on the other hand…. 🙂

Warm-O-Rama

Easy enough to get the blood running. SSH, Good Mornings, Arm Circles, and Imperial Walkers. Then we were off!

The Thang

Mosey’d to shelter between ball fields. Split group into 2. Group 1 – 50 merkins. Group 2 – 100 dips. Switch when you finish. Collectively grabbed the 6 with 10 merkins together.

Skipped over to the open field between ball parks facing south (with the light pole in the middle). Bear crawled all the way to the running path. (approx 75m) then mosey’d to the bottom of the bridge. If you got there ahead of 6 you did SSH.

Then crab walked FACING FORWARD from the bottom of the bridge to the middle. Roughly 145m. This brought on the cursing. Mostly from Gaylord. He had on a weight vest though. Made the rest of us look like pansies.

At the middle of the bridge, 50 Mountain Man Poopers. This was a great way to say hi to Naperville. If you finished, head to bottom of bridge from where we came and do SSH.

PAX can’t listen very well and just followed YHC when I finished, so we all earned 10 penalty burpees.

Next up was a jog back to the shelter between ball fields. Performed 1-legged burpees (10 each leg). Lot of fun. Then finished up with 50 merkins/100 dips again.

Mosey’d back to Mary at the Flags.

V-Up Holds

Flutter kicks

High/low plank hold 1.5 minutes. (felt longer though).

Naked Man Moleskin

I went looking for something interesting to share this morning. So I found myself googling “the end of the world”. I thought that sounded interesting. LOTS of crazy results, theories, research. Even NASA had an old online FAQ about planets crashing into us.

It got me thinking about how’s much there is to worry about. No need to mention. There’s too much today. So how to deal with it?

One day at a time. Even the Bible says not to worry about tomorrow because today has enough trouble of its own.

So give yourself a head start each day to tackle the trouble. I find a good workout, a good cup of coffee, and a sweet, silent period of reflection, meditation, and devotion gives you the best start.

Take the daily red pill is what F3 encourages. Face each day and commit to facing it. Oh, and don’t forget to exercise when you start it.
