  • Merkin-Groiners – Don’t let your hands leave the ground until complete,  1 Merkin – 1 Groiner, 2 Merkins – 2 Groiners, 3 Merkins – 3 Groiners, 4 Merkins – 4 Groiners, 5 Merkins – 5 Groiners….back down the ladder to 0
  • 3 sets of 4 different exercises in cadence on my count
    • 15 Dips

    • 15 incline Merkins in a fairly vertical stance up against the fountain brick

Dorn reached out to me 4-5 weeks ago to see if I would Q at the Bear sometime. Friday’s work best for me to complete the long drive so 2/25 was marked on the calendar. Candidly, I wasn’t looking forward to the drive or the 3:20 am wake up call when I saw the weather forecast. We constantly talk about being uncomfortable in F3 and doing our best to thrive in those situations. More often than not for obvious reasons uncomfortable situations arise during the exercises. Extra reps, intense speeds, exercises you hate, etc… Being uncomfortable also means stepping outside your comfort zone when it comes to where you post. There are 100’s of guys in F3 that I still only know well enough to recognize their face or a nickname on Slack. I get stuck in a bubble at times of choosing workouts based on guys I know well that will be attending or hand selecting which Q or type of workout I want to go to. I encourage all of you (myself included) to choose 1 workout every 4-6 weeks where it wouldn’t be your typical choice based on location or PAX attending and meet some new guys or wake up an extra 15-30 minutes to make it happen. We are already waking up at 4:00-4:45 am anyways, what’s 15-30 minutes earlier every so often to get a little uncomfortable in our posting cycle.
